What our clients have to say

"We have had the good fortune of having Matias coach our children for several years. He is of course technically excellent, but more importantly, at least for our children is Matias knows how to make tennis fun. Every lesson he has new games and drills keeping our children interested and engaged. Matias is able to bring the best out of our children through a perfect balance of praise and support. Our children look forward to seeing "coach" every week. Matias, thank you for caring and for keeping tennis alive!"

Andy Neitzel

"I am incredibly fortunate to have Tony as a tennis coach, Tony not only possesses exceptional coaching skills but he also goes above and beyond to support my athletic journey. His dedication and passion for tennis are truly remarkable. This has created an environment for me that has fostered both growth and enjoyment on the tennis court. One outstanding testament to his commitment is the fact that he traveled with me to Houston and Halifax for tournaments. After going with me to these tournaments I was fully aware of Tony's belief in my potential and a willingness to invest his time and energy into my success and the sport. His expertise, encouragement, and willingness to share in the experiences of competition have not only improved my game but have also created a strong coach-player bond that extends beyond the confines of the tennis court. I am so grateful for Tony's guidance, advice and love for the sport that make him a truly extraordinary coach and mentor"

Lachlan Sandford

"I initially began working with Matias Orrego just over a year ago.  At the time I was ranked just outside the top 100 in the world in Men's Wheelchair Tennis.  My development had plateaued a bit and I was looking for a way to jumpstart my game so that I could finally break the top 100.  I met with Matias and we collaborated to develop a plan to help me achieve my goals.  Though he had never coached wheelchair tennis, he quickly developed the skills to work with me through independent research.  He introduced me to many new drills and active game situations that have taken my game to new heights.  I reached a career high of 82 while working with Matias and I recently qualified to represent Canada at the 2023 Para Pan Am games in Santiago, Chile.  Deciding to work with Matias more closely has resulted in huge benefits to my strokes and the mental aspects of match play.  I look forward to continuing to work with Matias as he continues to push me to reach my potential."

"I began working with Tony Ilesu just over six year ago when I was introduced to wheelchair tennis.  Tony had no experience with wheelchair tennis but he was eager to become involved. His enthusiasm and energy was infectious and I began training with him more seriously and I soon recognized that under his tutelage, I had a future within the sport.  Working closely with Tony, my national ranking quickly rose and we were both awarded the 2019 Award of Excellence from Tennis Canada for being the Most Improved Wheelchair Tennis player in the nation.  We have continued to work together and I have been able to maintain my national ranking of number 2 in the men's open division.  This year I began having Tony travel with me on tour and his experience of playing professionally on the Challenger circuit has been a huge benefit to me as he has helped me with both the mental and physical aspects of the grind of the professional wheelchair tennis circuit.  I have represented Canada internationally two times and I recently achieved my most important personal goal by being selected to Canada's Para Pan American team for the November 2023 Games in Santiago, Chile.  I would not have been able to achieve my goals and dreams without the support and coaching of Coach Tony."
